Yet another Pine Warbler

Friday morning around 8:00 a.m. I just had yet another Pine Warbler for the county and state, this one a very dull young female type thing that’s just brownish above and off-white below with barely a cream wash, and not a touch of yellow. It also does have a very distinct pale curl around the back of the auricular. It is in sycamores and pines around the Cesar Chavez Rec Center building which is at Larsen Field which is the athletic field area right across the street from the San Ysidro outlet mall near the border. This makes 9 or 10 Pine Warblers in California this fall, and the 3rd for San Diego County. An amazing total.Paul Lehman, San DiegoSent from the all new AOL app for Android
