Vireos
if anyone is chasing the Yellow-throated Vireo at Mission Trails Park, also be aware that the bird sings a bunch and then will shut up for moderate periods of time, and also that while along the path at the number 9 gate appears to be the best area for it, it did wander west along the road and down the river riparian at least halfway to the Old Mission Dam parking lot before returning to the number 9 gate area. In addition there were single singing Warbling Vireos at both the number 9 gate and west of Mast Park. Rather than being late migrants these are probably birds on territory which are very rare in southern San Diego County.
