Via Jim PawlickiThere is currently 0835 4/12/22 a (tuftless) female Tufted Duck loosely with 7 LESC at Lake Miramar in Scripps Ranch (32.9139764, -117.1004250). Close to shore just west of docks. Look for bright yellow eyes, dark back/head, lack of white near base of bill, and rounded head compared to female LESC; also bright white wing stripe when flapping.Just the messenger,Justyn Stahl
