Tricolored Heron strikeout

Headed to Famosa Slough/Robb Field (Nov 22) to try and get a look at the more mature plumaged Tricolored Heron that has been there.  I did not find it.  I went right at low tide around 2:30 PM and looked until about 4 PM.  I did see a lot of the usual waders, and an actively fishing Reddish Egret at the west end near Smiley lagoon that was working his way east.  Just like the Tricolored Heron and Little Blue Herons tend to do.  He was very active and animated in his feeding but he does not really have great plumage.

I searched Famosa Slough on the South side of W Point Loma Blvd, I think this is the side people said they were seeing the tricolored at.  Has it been spotted in the North Section of the Slough?
I also had a Slate Colored Fox Sparrow in the yard before I left, which isn't common around my house near Iron Mountain off 67.
