Tricolored Heron at San Dieguito Lagoon Southwest

Yesterday on the San Dieguito River Park monthly count, we had a Tricolored Heron in the lagoon opposite Crest Canyon. I saw a heron with a lot of white from the boardwalk, looking toward the Grand Ave Bridge pier, but I didn’t record it in eBird as it was a distant view and I wasn’t certain. Then Jorge Valdivieso and Ed Mirsky got it while surveying their area. No photo but they described it as having a white belly and faint white stripe on the neck, with a dark back. They did not record it in eBird as it did not come up on the list since it is unusual for this area. I just tried looking for it again this morning but no luck.
