Torrey Pines State Reserve
This morning (9/5/20) Kathy Estey and I participated in the Torrey Pines State Reserve bird survey. Something we have been doing together every month for the past 22 years. No rarities but of interest to us was an adult Yellow-crowned Night-Heron in the Los Penasquitos Lagoon near the train trestle, two Hutton's Vireos loosely associating with a flock of Bushtits on Sorrento Valley Road, a Downy Woodpecker and a female Costa's Hummingbird.
