Three Pacific Golden-Plovers

This morning at high tide, there was an especially large aggregation of Black-bellied Plovers and Red Knots on “stint island,” at the end of 10th Street at the salt works. There were three Pacific Golden-Plovers with them, at least two of them and possibly all three were very bright golden and spangled, thus presumably juveniles so new birds and not continuing or returning adults. Bird numbers on the island vary wildly from day to day.
