Summer Tanager, Rose-breast, Reddish Egret

Yesterday morning, while birding at both Point Loma AND the Tijuana R. valley, I saw a grand total of ONE landbird migrant (a W. Tanager). Today, the 18th, I doubled that total at Point Loma, with a single W. Tanager and a first-spring male SUMMER Tanager that was greeny-yellow with a sharply contrasting fully red hood. The latter bird was in the area around the alumni building (and adjoining neighborhood) at the north end of the campus, where Alex Abela saw a very similar-looking Summer way back on May 1st. Same bird? Yesterday, there was an adult Reddish Egret at the Tijuana R. mouth. And on the 16th, there was a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak in the Jacumba area.
