Slightly OT – falconer lost Harris Hawk in Tecolote Canyon yesterday

Hi,
A falconer posted this message in the Facebook Photo-birding San
Diego group late yesterday. She lost her Harris Hawk in Tecolote
Canyon. I have her phone number, so if anyone sees it let me know.
This is her post:
“I hate to impose, but you are all out there looking at birds. I lost my male Harris hawk this afternoon in Clairemont near the northern end of Tecolote canyon. I took a bad step and stumbled before I clipped him up. He spooked and is likely in the canyon with the strong winds this afternoon. If anyone who sees a Harris hawk in San Diego could message me, it would be very appreciated. He is wearing jesses, a bell, and has a gold federal band on his right leg. No telemetry. Thank you.”
She spent four hours today trying to find him. She also told me
this when I communicated with her to ask if I could cross-post her
message:
“And he’s trained to come to food on a glove or a lure. He’s
really pretty cheerful and friendly. He doesn’t like people who
he doesn’t know to grab his jesses (leg straps) and will spook
away if that’s attempted.”
