Sept. 19, 2020 Buena Vista Audubon pelagic

Our next pelagic birding trip is just a month away, on Saturday. Sept. 19th.

This is a 12 hour trip and will cover the same areas,as last Sunday's trip, time and seas allowing.
Migration should increase into fall, and hopefully we will pick up some of the things missed Sunday, and have increases in numbers for others.
We have now had a week of a push of waters from the south, and there is a second hurricane down below us. Fishermen believe these storms push warm water exotic fish species into our area. Why not birds as well?
Red-billed Tropicbird anybody? How about Least Storm-Petrels, or better yet a Wedge-rumped Storm-Petrel. We can always hope. Magnificent  Frigatebirds sometimes get pushed up. Who knows?

The "Early Bird" sign up price ends today and is  $145. The regular price is $155 and will run until the week of the trip. We will be on board the 80ft,. Legacy, departing Seaforth Landing in Mission Bay. Parking is free and plentiful. See trip details at www.sandiegopelagics.com.
Currently we have 15 signed on to that  trip. The last trip went with 27 passengers, so crowding was not an issue.
You can make your reservation online at www.sdwhale.com. or call Seaforth Landing at 619 224-3383 ask for the Legacy Bird trip Sept. 19th. Have your credit card ready.
I hope you'll join us,
Dave Povey
