SDRP monthly bird survey: Dust devil trails birds

This morning Dan King, Paul Jeffs, Jayne Lesley and I saw the continuing 2 juvenile gull-billed terns, 1 solitary sandpiper, 2 lesser yellowlegs, 1 Wilson’s phalarope & 2 red-necked phalaropes. All were in the pools at end of the western loop. Also present: redheads that bred successfully, and a juvenile common gallinule. I’m not aware of them breeding here before. 

Jayne also had a family of Bells vireos in the field across the river from horse park
