Scott’s Oriole at Zoo: Updated Location

Thankfully, all the orioles were accounted for during yesterday’s CBC. The Scott’s Oriole, which had been absent since December 4th, was found in a new location. It was hiding in a small coral tree alongside a eucalyptus in the southeast corner of the parking lot near the solar panels (32.735819, -117.146032). A drab Bullock’s Oriole was also present in the same area. We almost skipped this spot due to a very loud, obnoxious motorcyclist practicing wheelies there for an extended period, but to our relief, SD Zoo Security intervened and he departed.
