San Ysidro Vermilion Flycatcher and Hybrid Wigeon

After reading Paul’s message this morning regarding some local San Ysidro birds I swung by Las Americas mall, but through the rear parking lot between the stores and the border fence. An adult male Vermilion Flycatcher was flitting from the fence directly behind the back door of the Hugo Boss store. This is almost exactly the same location where Eric K. and Trent S. found one last year and not in the main lot where Paul had his female VEFL this morning.

Andrew N. and I had the Lesser Black-backed Gull in the mixed gull flock east of Dairy Mart Rd in the flooded sod farm and a drake American/Eurasian Widgeon hybrid was with the other widgeons in the Tijuana River channel east of the bridge on Dairy Mart.
