Rusty Blackbird Continues 3JAN2020 ; Sports Arena Blvd.

After several failed attempts, I finally tracked down the RUSTY BLACKBIRD today around 2 pm on Sports Arena Blvd east of Rosecrans near (~500 ft) where Ryan A. reported it on 27DEC2019 (thanks Ryan). The specific location is pinned in the following eBird report, along with photo. I had it between the Big Lot Store and Goodwill.  If you chase the bird in this area, be vigilant as there seemed to be inordinate number of people just hanging around, although I did not have any negative interactions. Two people did ask what about the subject of my picture taking.

1. This bird spends a lot of time AWAY from Robb Field
2. Look for flocks of blackbirds and hope for the best
3. I now have Brewer’s blackbirds burned into my brain
