Rufous-backed Robin report
Needless to say, attempts are currently being made to try to contact the iNaturalist observer/homeowner in Shelter Valley to inquire about exact directions and access issues for the Rufous-backed Robin–though not by me. Obviously, this bird will generate high interest, so access may or may not be an issue. Hopefully we will at least be able to check the immediate neighborhood. And hopefully/presumably at this time of year the bird is going nowhere too far too fast.
This morning there was a high count of EIGHT immature Short-billed Gulls in the flooded Tijuana River channel from the Dairy Mart bridge. Also 15 Bonaparte’s and a Glaucous-winged.
