Reminder: Birding Ruette le Parc condo complex in Del Mar is still off limits
Just a friendly reminder that the HOA and Board of the Ruette le Parc condo complex (Hooded Warbler spot, winter 2017-18) still frowns on non-owners birding the Ruette le Parc circle. It has been brought to my attention that there were three birders, with cameras and large lenses, birding the complex last week. ( I did not see them, and dont know who they are–perhaps out of towners). But just the same, wanted to send out a reminder to all about this unfortunate birding ban. As far as I know, birding along the adjacent Portofino Drive and other places nearby are still open to birding(public thoroughfare), but the circle, I am told, is private property. To add insult to injury, I recently learned that the HOA has decided to cut down ALL the mature tall trees in the complex next fall!! They were going to do it this spring but were convinced this wasn't a good idea because of the nesting season.
