Red Phalarope for the Pelagic Averse Continues at Siempre Viva Rd Pond 9-15-2026

The red phalarope continues in the quickly drying pond at the east end of Siempre Viva Road at La Media in Otay Mesa. The bird can be seen in the north section of the pond from the outside of the fence, but the gate is unlocked for the adventurous. A good look without the risk of seasickness!
