Red-eyed Vireo, Summer Tanagers and Brown-crested Flycatcher at Scissors Crossing, 03 July
This morning, 03 July, Nancy Christensen and I birded Scissors Crossing. I spotted, and Nancy photographed, a Red-eyed Vireo. The bird was silent and soon lost in the dense growth. If it remains silent, re-finding it will be a "needle-in-a-haystack" type of search.
While we were NOT able to find a Yellow-billed Cuckoo, we did see a male and female Summer Tanager, and heard a Brown-crested Flycatcher's "whip" call.
A link to Nancy's eBird checklist posted photo will be provided shortly.
