Red-breasted nuthatch in La Jolla

A single Red-breasted nuthatch has been present this summer in the Mt. Soledad  area of La Jolla. This species has previously bred in Pt Loma in past decades,  but this individual is the only one reported on the coastal slope in the County this season.
