Re: Tundra Swan Continues 1/3/23

I had a few people ask me if I actually saw the swan flying into the pond so I’ll clarify. At 6:30am the pond was bereft of Swan, but lousy with Wigeon. At about 645am the Wigeon flock exploded into the sky and the mallards started yelling “aflac!” so I looked up to see a giant lump of Swan soaring gracefully overhead, and then less gracefully cannonballing into the pond. 

So it is not stuck in the pond and seems to be roosting elsewhere. Unfortunately, I did not notice which direction it came in from.
