Hi Cheryl,

If you don’t get any other offers, I’d be willing to work on it.   A photo (or photos) would be essential.   Also helpful would be if you could take a ruler and measure it beak to end of tail, and pass along how many inches it measures.  It’s often hard to tell how long a bird is just from a photo.

I found a dead bird in a potted plant just now.  It is intact so I don’t think it has been dead a long time.

At first I thought a female oriole of some type but no wing bars at all and a large beak compared to orioles. Solid olive yellow on back and wings. Much brighter yellow throat and belly and underside with a little bit of orange yellow at beginning of tail underside. Top beak dark and bottom beak pale. What in the world is it?  Summer tanager female maybe?

I can send pics to someone willing to ID.
Thanks much,
Cheryl
