What a great thing to see!  It would be a great Birdfest outing.  It reminds me of when my husband and I went up to Mt. Palomar to record the Northern Saw Whet Owl.  About dusk hundreds of Acorn Woodpeckers started flying into the trees above and around where we were standing all chattering away.  They jostled for spots and settled into the trees and the loud talking slowly turned into a soft murmur that continued until after dark.  As if they were all quietly letting each other know where they had chosen to rest for the night.  I had only seen that behavior with crows but I’m guessing that many birds which live in flocks and roost at night in groups do the same thing.  Thanks for letting us know where these parrots are.Alison HiersCarlsbad
