Re: Carmel Valley Community Park Lucy’s, Black-and-White, Painted Bunting

Painted Bunting reappeared briefly on the field by the baseball diamond feeding with finches at 8:50. Then it flew into the brush up high to the right of the tipu next to the stairs (by the light poll) and preened a bit before disappearing into the brush below. It is quite olive green on the back but the front is very nondescript brown so it disappears quite easily in the brush.
