John Dumlao says the Black-throated Green Warbler is continuing this morning, singing and chipping in the tipu trees near the southwest corner of the Child Development Center building.

Today at 1:15 I had a cooperative Black-throated Green Warber in the tipu trees that surround the Child Development Center behind the restrooms at Chollas Reservoir. The address of the center is 6205 College Grove Way.  It can be accessed through the main Chollas entrance, but signs say the reservoir will be closed tomorrow through Friday for maintenance, so best to use College Grove Way.  It’s a no outlet street, but there is parking available. I also had a Tennessee Warbler there, but couldn’t get photos before it disappeared and couldn’t be relocated. I also had a White-throated Sparrow there earlier this week.  The entire center is surrounded by tipus, but these birds favored the ones nearest the gate that leads to the reservoir.
