Rangeland raptors
I did a quick check of Rangeland Rd in Ramona this afternoon. The raptors seem to be arriving. Two Bald eagles, one adult Golden Eagle, one Ferruginous Hawk, one Prairie Falcon and multiple kestrels. There were several hawks sitting further out that I did not ID. Very low numbers of other birds today though, but it was late afternoon but not late enough for the fly-in to the small pond. And it was a very quick look at the area.
The large recharge pond continues to be dry. Although there is fresh grass, no geese were grazing.
