I spent some time at Palomar today (12/19/20) and missed the Pacific wren at noon and from 2 until 3:30 at the known site (marker #8 on Doane Nature Trail). Later in the afternoon there was a swallow flock soaring east of Doane Pond. It was distant and the birds appeared to be Violet-greens (white sides appeared to wrap onto the rump) but could have been Trees. The Bird Atlas doesn't seem to indicate either of those species at this spot in December. Any input?
