The glut of Tennessee warblers continues, with yet another on Monday morning, this one in the first several slightly lerpy eucalyptus on the right at the beginning of the driveway that goes behind the San Diego Mission, in other words exactly where the black-throated green warbler wintered last year. It was with several orange crowns and several tanagers. Be aware that also to the west of the front of the Mission at the driveway for the Nazareth School there are eucalyptus that are heavily lerped and have a bunch of warblers in them.Yesterday, I had a Palm Warbler at Holy Cross Cemetery which is a mile or so east of Greenwood Cemetery, and today the bird is still there c/o Barbara Wise. Basically you just drive around the cemetery and look for the flocks of yellow rumps with bluebirds, at least that’s a good starting point. At Sweetwater Reservoir this morning, in addition to the three Stilt sandpipers and a yellow-headed blackbird, there were also six Pectoral sandpipers. And still 9 late Black chinned hummingbirds at feeders in Tierrasanta, we’re also what looks like a hybrid Annas X Costas immature male.PaulSent from the all new AOL app for Android
