Painted bunting at Ward Canyon in Neighborhood Park

This morning I had a painted bunting at Ward Canyon Neighborhood Park in Normal Heights. It was working the weedy area between the dirt dog park and the park in the SE corner with a group of house finches. Here: 32.76148, -117.11007. 

If anyone wants to chase this bird today, just be aware that portions of Adams  Ave. are closed today because of the Adams Ave street fair; however, the park is accessible from the 15 freeway and all of the backstreets south of Adams Ave. You can also park near the intersection of Maddison Ave. and 40th St and walk 200ft to the location.
