Pacific Wren – Palomar
At least one Pacific Wren continues along the Nature Trail in Palomar State Park. It was seen just before the intersection of the Nature Trail and Weir Trail. The wren was singing spontaneously from time to time (roughly 20 minutes apart), hopefully I was able to get recordings although the stream is running right there. 33°20’30.162″ N 116°54’15.78″ W
I also detected a Pac Wren chipping near Post 9, but I don;t know if that was the same bird or a second individual.
Overall the Nature Trail was incredibly quiet. I think I saw a grand total of 6 birds on that portion of the walk.
