new Scissor-tailed Flycatcher–Liberty Station
There is a new scissor-tailed flycatcher in town in the late afternoon on Tuesday, this one at Liberty Station. It started out at the end of Woodworth way and then in trees out on the pitch and putt golf course and has now gone to the bunch of large star pines or bunya bunyas that are south of the golf course in liberty station proper, roosting with Cassins Kingbirds.
Yesterday, Monday, there were TWO Vesper sparrows together at the ballfields on Sunset in the TRV, and the total of yellow crowned night herons in the Tijuana estuary has increased to at least 12 birds: 8 adults, 2 subadults, and two juveniles.
