New Pine Warbler in TRV

Dave Povey reports a new Pine Warbler in town on Thursday morning, this one in the TRV at the Community Gardens along Hollister. He had it both on the ground and in low bushes in the second pathway in from the East edge not far from that set of feeders that’s on that second row in from the east. Plumage-wise it sounds pretty close to the same as the Montgomery Waller bird, with patchy yellow in the face and breast but the upper parts being tinged with some brown or gray and not bright green. Probably a young male.I am at San Elijo lagoon, with Dan King, not seeing even very many beldings sparrows at the high tide, alas. Maybe tomorrow or Saturday…..Paul Lehman, San DiegoSent from the all new AOL app for Android
