new Am. Redstart & miscellanea

On Friday the 8th, a female AMERICAN REDSTART was along the riparian drainage ditch that crosses Hollister Ave. just south of Coronado Ave. in Nestor. This is the same ditch/creek that crosses the top of Nestor Park, and some past wintering birds of note have gone back and forth between these two stretches. On Thurs the 7th, 2 imm. SNOW GEESE were grazing on the lawn at De Anza Cove, Mission Bay, whereas I did not see the single bird that had been nearby at the Mission Bay Golf Course for quite a few days. On Weds the 6th, a PLUMBEOUS VIREO was in 39th Street Park, which is near the intersection of Adams Ave. and I-15, in Normal Heights. Single Red-breasted Sapsuckers were at the B&B Garden and at Sunnyslope Park. Also, I've recently been seeing more (Swinhoe's) White-eyes at a few spots in residential Point Loma and around Mission Bay. Get ready.
