For those who are chasing the Philadelphia Vireo later today, It’s favorite area this morning were the Chinese elms that line the Northeast Loop road near the northwest section of the loop. And second favorite trees were the Chinese elms that are along the Eastern part of the loop. It would occasionally go into non elms, and on at least a couple occasions it frequented the bushes that line the edge of the Northeast corner along Catalina boulevard. But it also periodically went into the acacia bushes over the north fence where the solitaire periodically disappears, and where one has little chance of finding it, but it always seemed to be back in the elms within 15 minutes.A short while ago I had a new Tennessee warbler in tipus in Serra Mesa, bringing the county season total this fall to 23!
