Mississippi Kite near San Elijo

Brennan Mulrooney just forwarded me a link to an eBird list from someone who reported simply a White-tailed Kite along the beginning of the La Orilla Trail near the east end of San Elijo Lagoon and just west of El Camino Real in the early afternoon today, however, the bird looks like a near adult Mississippi Kite! The photo is of the bird sitting on what looks like dead eucalyptus branches.
