On Tuesday the 13th, a new PALM WARBLER was in the southern half of the Fiesta Island dog-run. It has certainly been a very good fall for Palm Warblers in s. CA, and northward all the way to Alaska. Also at Fiesta Is. was a continuing adult male MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD found earlier by others. There have been a bunch of coastal Mountain Bluebirds in s. CA during the past week or so. A (continuing?) 1+-year-old REDDISH EGRET was at the San Diego River mouth, visible from Robb Field. On Weds the 14th, 4 CACKLING GEESE were at the Fairbanks Ranch horse pastures (also 60+ Canadas), and yet another coastal WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH for the fall season in the county was in Del Mar.
