misc. continuing & minor new

On Dec 6th, the returning Red-necked Grebe continued at Shelter Island at first light, and as has been the case the past several days, it was down more off the Bali Hai (northeast) end of the "island." Also on the 6th, the adult Zone-tailed Hawk continued over the Safari Park in latter afternoon. And on the 7th, both the "Yellow" Palm and "Western" Palm Warblers continue in the TRV community gardens, where there is also a continuing "Dark-lored" White-crowned Sparrow (since 27 Nov) and a continuing Green-tailed Towhee (since 30 Oct).

New birds the past two days are all relatively minor: "Sooty" Fox Sparrow, 2 Black-thr Grays, and 1 Wilson's Warbler on east flank of residential Point Loma, only 1 Yellow Warbler at Liberty Station (below normal), Bullock's Oriole and Black-thr Gray at Educational Cultural Center in south San Diego, and Western Tanager at Holy Cross Cemetery.
