Lucy’s Warbler at Surf Sports Park in Del Mar

While leading a small beginning birders’ class this morning one of the participants noticed that Merlin had suggested a Lucy’s! We spotted it shortly thereafter and chased it for about half an hour.

Seen between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. in the pepper trees just past the line of ticket booths flying back and forth to the eucalyptus tree here:
