Lindo Lake shorebird update/retraction
After looking at distant photos I had taken of the Lindo Lake dowitcher, and receiving an additional, better photo taken by Terry Hurst, I started getting nervous. So I returned to Lindo Lake….and the bird is, in fact, a Long-billed Dowitcher. A couple important characters I thought I'd originally seen at a distance were actually different (e.g., "spotting" on the upper breast sides turned in to short bars), and after the bird had flushed a couple times but remained silent during my first visit (a character favoring Short-billed), upon my return, Brennan M. and I flushed it twice again and it finally gave Long-billed calls.
The yellowlegs there, alluded to by Andrew Newmark, is a Greater.
