Lewis’s Woodpecker at Santee Lakes

Saw a lovely male Lewis’s hammering away in a sycamore tree next to the stop sign at the corner of Lake Canyon Rd. and Fanita Rd. at Santee Lakes.  Bird was working the tree when I arrived about 3:00 and was still at the same tree when I left around 4:30.
