LeContes & Crissal Thrash at Clark’s Dry Lakebed

11:09 am

The LeContes is still present at its previous location.  However, just as the sun was coming up we heard a different call.  Merlin identified it as a Crissal thrasher. We located the Crissal at the edge of the lake bed at the LeContes location.

It was slightly darker with longer decurved bill. Much different looking than the LeContes.  It dropped back into the brush and provided only brief glimpses from that point on.   Further description will be on our eBird Report
