La Jolla Cove January 2, humongous feeding frenzy

Tens of thousands of birds coming in from the south and feeding in the canyon. 3000+ black-vented shearwaters. At least 2000 Bonaparte’s gulls. Hundreds of loons flying south. 10 jaegers. A constant stream of birds still arriving.
