La Jolla Birds
The GRACE’S WARBLER was in its usual Torrey pines in the northeast corner of Villa La Jolla Park around 7 am this morning. It called occasionally for about 10 minutes making it fairly easy to locate. A little later, the presumably returning PLUMBEOUS VIREO showed up in the same area and was very vocal for about half an hour. Otherwise still pretty birdy with warblers in the lerpy eucs.
Later in the morning a TENNESSEE WARBLER and a BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER made appearances near exercise station 17 at La Jolla Colony Park. Bridget Spencer reported both these species a little over two weeks ago in the same area so one or both may be continuing birds.
