Juvenile Bald Eagle at Batiquitos Lagoon
For a few minutes after 1:35 this afternoon, a juvenile Bald Eagle (it did not have a white belly) flew through the east end of Batiquitos Lagoon and then flew off. The eagle flushed all of the ducks, gulls, and shorebirds from the areas it flew over. The 8 American White Pelicans stood up straight in response but did not flush. I was unable to obtain any photographs.
