Jacumba: Harris’s Hawk, Red Crossbills, Cassin’s Finches, nesting Tricoloreds

A Saturday morning visit to Jacumba produced at least one continuing Harris’s Hawk (one bird seen multiple times along north edge of town, but never more than one at a time), a pair of Red Crossbills, and at least three female-plumaged “lowland” Cassin’s Finches. Also 200 Tricolored Blackbirds at the pond looking like they are fixing to nest there. Two continuing wandering White-breasted Nuthatches. Clearly a good number of Yellow-rumped Warblers on the move.
