Harris’s, White-winged, overall landbird migrant numbers
10:01 am
Yesterday, 31 Aug, there was a White-winged Dove near DairyMart in the TRV. Today, a morning visit to Jacumba produced one continuing Harris’s Hawk (as usual, along the northeast side of town in the early morning), a family group of Cassin’s Kingbirds, but only 10 individual migrant landbirds, which is a poor total for there on the 1st of September. In all my coastal birding during the month of August, I had my worst total of western landbird migrants that I’ve ever seen locally for the month.
