Harris’s Hawks, Black-and-white warbler

By – 12:02 pm
A Monday morning trip to Jacumba produced the usual eight Harris’s Hawks, mostly along the northeast edge of town, early in the morning, But scattered individuals popped up elsewhere in town as well. Continuing male Scott’s Oriole and one “Pink-sided” Dark-eyed Junco, which is scarce but fairly regular at Jacumba in late fall and early winter.Yesterday, the 28th, a Black and white Warbler continued in the Stonecrest/Serra Mesa area, and given that it has been hanging around for a while now suggests it’s going to winter there. And the adult male Summer Tanager continued at Linda Vista Community Park, a returning bird.Paul Lehman, San DiegoSent from the all new AOL app for Android
