Green-tailed Towhee see at San Diego Botanic Garden, Wedn. Oct 27
Hi SD Birders–At about 10:30 am, while walking the upper loop trail in the SD Botanic Garden’s ‘Native Garden’ a Green-tailed Towhee popped into view. It was visible for about 8 minutes before it flew to cover in lemonadeberry bushes below the Ecke Bldg. Attempts to refind it were not successful, as the heat of late morning was settling in and bird activity settled down.

PS It was prettier than the Corpse Plant, but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
