Golden-crowned Kinglet

There is a somewhat cooperative Golden-crowned Kinglet in the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. It was originally found November 2 by Jim Pawlicki, and refound today by David Trissel. Here:(32.6875750, -117.2450030) It likes a group of three cypress trees on the west side of the road just a few yards south of the main entrance. The trees can be seen from Catalina Boulevard, so there’s no need to go into the cemetery and birding hours should not be a problem. You can park your car at the main entrance and walk down either side of the road. The bird is calling frequently from the top of those trees, and in the 45 minutes I was there, it did come down once for viewing and quick photographs.Barbara WiseSan Diego
