FRNC: possible Blue-headed Vireo, 6 Sep.
I made a loop of Fort Rosecrans late morning with Gary Nunn with the highlight being a brief look and a few poor photos of a Cassin’s/Blue-headed Vireo. Appeared to have very strongly demarcated cheeks and throat and bright yellow flanks/vent. It was in pines in the northwest corner but then flew north over the fence and out of view.
We’ll both have photos later.
