Franklin’s NO, Lappie YES, Point Loma Grace’s, Cassin’s, Summers

On Thursday morning, no sign of the Franklin’s Gull at the San Diego River mouth mudflats, which is no surprise given they often don’t linger very long, and there are fewer gulls overall compared to yesterday at this time. The Lapland Longspur, however, does continue at Robb Field, currently in the middle playing field with Horned Larks.

In residential Point Loma this morning, the Grace’s Warbler continues in a small mixed flock along Albion between Dudley and Charles, a Cassin’s Vireo, possibly a returning bird, was near the south end of Gage, and a Summer tanager was along Dupont. Another Summer Tanager and a Bullock’s Oriole were in the row of pink flowered eucalyptus at Cleator Park-YMCA-Calvary Church.
